29th September 2026 Hiking - Walking: Levington and Felixstowe Wind Direction: E Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Hazy start then mainly cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Tuesday 29th September - walk *** – Levington and Felixstowe – mainly cloudy. I passed on joining Mag on her early morning prom walk as it was cloudy, the staem paddle ship, the Waverly is once again in Ipswich I found out that it was leaving for London at 10.45 so we decided to take our breakfast over to Levington Marina to watch it pass! We started off at the windsurfing end to the right where we ate breakfast but moved to the other end as I thought I would get some better pics, there some glimpses of sun but it was generally pretty hazy and the Waverley appeared in the gloom at Pin Pin at 11.30 and I walked along the beach to take the pics by the wreck of the yacht as it passed with loads of people on the decks! Then home to sort out the pics and send some to the TV weather which is hard work as my very old laptop is on a go slow, sadly my new laptop in dead and I am waiting for another one to arrive! I then had a quick drive down to Felixstowe Ferry at 1.30 to see the very high tide and got the usual wet feet walking round the boatyard! Then home to walk round to old friend Mary for our Tuesday cuppa before returning home to send yet more pics to the telly! I then discovered that two of last nights sunset pics were chosen as BBC Editors Picks but sadly I don’t think they made it into the telly! I got an early birthday present today my very own swanky new mobile which arrived today and Mag has just set it up! Photo Album here |
